My Number One Tip For Weight-Loss: De-stressing!

If I could give you just one piece of advice when it comes to weight-loss, it would be as simple as this- stop stressing!

I spent years of my own life stressing about everything- stressing over food, stressing over workouts, stressing over my body image, stressing over what other people might think of me, and stressing about pretty much all of the most minor things in life. And I can tell you one thing for sure- NONE of it was worth it. And certainly, none of it helped me achieve my dream body

Obsessing over the foods you eat and obsessing over your workouts will NOT help you achieve your idea of a perfect body or your ideal weight. It might help you lose weight momentarily, but it isn’t sustainable in the long run. Eventually, your hormones will be out of whack which will lead you to gaining weight. As well, mentally and physically, you will just become bored, tired and exhausted, which will lead you to give up on being healthy all together. Do you know what is sustainable though? Loving yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle.

When you let go of this idea of perfection you’ve created in your mind, let go of obsessive behaviors, and just enjoy your life, all of those extra pounds will start to shed.  When you stop stressing about life, stop being so hard on yourself, and stop caring about what other people think about you, you will actually learn how to be in tune with your body. You will be able to understand when it’s hungry, when it’s full, and eat accordingly. You will start to love your body just the way it is, and treat it with the love and respect it deserves.

When you let go of stress and simply treat your body with love and respect, it will be so easy for you to achieve your dream body. You will want to feed it with wholesome, real foods. You will want to nourish it as much as possible. You will want to treat it to some chocolate or french fries once in a while without feeling even a little bit guilty about it. You will want to move it when needed. You will want to rest it when needed. And once you do all of that, you will finally be able to look in the mirror and love the beautiful, healthy body standing in front of you.
