Cooking With Friends

cookingwithfriends

I’ve always loved going out to eat with my friends and trying out new healthy restaurants in LA, but sometimes there is nothing like a home cooked meal. Not only is it more fun to cook with friends than just go out to eat, but it saves you money and calories too!

I want to share some easy dinner recipes that I cook with my friends so you can start doing the same:)

Buddha bowls are my favorite, since they are so easy to throw together and can be made with so many variations!

Here is a recipe to one I made last week with my friend Taylor:

  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa (we mixed white and red)
  • 1 can black beans, warmed up
  • 1 cup kale & 2 chopped garlic cloves sauteed in 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper and turmeric
  • 1 sweet potato steamed until soft, and then chopped and grilled with 2 tbsps coconut oil, salt, and pepper
  • 1-2 tbsps tahini
  • 1-2 tbsp lemon juice

Prep first 4 ingredients, mix in a bowl and top with tahini & lemon juice <3
